Background

Behind Calistudies is a Swedish student who dared to take the step across the Atlantic toward the dream of the USA. When he was about to begin his education in the USA, he encountered something he had not expected: a complex system of rules, visa requirements, and application processes that few understand before they are in the middle of it.

At first, he tried to get help from a study abroad company, but received a clear no:

“It’s not possible, you are too late with your application.”

The process seemed impossible and the dream was about to be crushed, but he didn’t give up, and today they are competitors.

How Did It Happen?

The founder of Calistudies took the long route: he learned the complicated application processes for colleges, universities, and visas, contacted all the necessary authorities, and familiarized himself with the laws and regulations required for studying abroad. Despite all the difficulties, he eventually succeeded in getting his student visa approved on time and arrived a day before school started—a proof that it was indeed possible. You could say that Calistudies’ first client was himself, even though neither the idea, the company, nor the name Calistudies existed at the time.

That experience gave him something invaluable: insight into how the process really works, the pitfalls that exist, and how to do things right from the start. But above all, studying in the US gave him the best time of his life, an experience he would never forget and something he wanted to share with others. When friends and acquaintances began dreaming of the same journey, it became natural to help them. He knew which mistakes could cost time, money, and even crush dreams.

In 2016, Calistudies was founded with the vision of helping others have the same unforgettable experience that he and his friends had. There was a problem with other organizations’ hidden fees, unfair terms, and overly broad focus on too many countries, which affected knowledge and quality. Calistudies became experts in studying in California and quickly expanded across the USA, with the goal of being the obvious choice for anyone who wants to study and experience the best of the USA. We make dreams a reality.
